Alberta Winter Games street banner

This photograph depicts the athletes from the 1994 Alberta Winter Games gathered together in the street in front of St. Albert Place for the closing ceremonies, with spectators filling up the bleachers set up in the parking lot.

This photograph depicts a classroom of Paul Kane school with sleeping bags, air mattresses and luggage on the floor. The chalkboards are decorated with pictures and writings welcoming participants to the Games.

Audiovisual recordings file

This file consists of 2 VHS tapes, both with a promotional video for the 1994 Alberta Winter Games addressed to St. Albert businesses, encouraging them to get involved and sponsor the Games. Footage includes clips of sports events from the 1992 Games in Fort McMurray, messages from other sponsors and Games organizers, and a message from Mayor Anita Ratchinsky. This file also contains 2 audio reels and a cassette tape recording of the 1994 Alberta Winter Games song, "Where the Spirit Soars," sung by Vicky Belzil, who also wrote the lyrics and music.
