School opening ceremony records

File consists of records pertaining to the Opening ceremony of Thelma Chalifoux school in Edmonton on 12 May 2022. Records include a copy of the invitation to the opening, part of the ribbon that was cut at the opening ceremony, and a booklet for the opening ceremony. The booklet contains a message from the Board of Trustees and Superintendent of Edmonton Public Schools, a biography of Thelma Chalifoux, a program of the opening ceremony, images of the school, and an acknwledgment of members of the school staff, board of trustees, and the Integrated Project Delivery team.

Eva Jacobs documents

File consists of records of Eva Mary Jacobs (nee Bonin). Records include a National Registration certificate to register for voting, 1940; a letter about application for naturalization, 1941; a war savings certificate application receipt, 1942; and a Golden Jubilee Senior Citizen award certificate from the Government of Alberta. Eva Bonin (b. 12 Mar 1894) married Joseph Jacobs in 1913; her maternal grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Francois Pelletier who owned the blacksmith store in St. Albert.

Dr. Joseph Boulanger collection

File consists of a collection of documents related to Dr. Joseph Boulanger of Edmonton. It is unclear why these documents were collected and by whom. Documents include pages from La Survivance newspaper that contain photos of Dr. Boulanger at the West End hospital, 1919; Dr. Boulanger outside in the winter with a dog sled, 1936; Dr. Boulanger standing with Fr. Patrice Beaudry [Patrick Beaudry]; and Dr. Boulanger on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II's visit to Edmonton, 1959. There are also an image of Dr. Boulanger outside with the caption Boulanger ave.; images of Dr. Boulanger in Europe; a prayer card for Fr. Jules Teston OMI death containing Cree syllabics with a copy of a handwritten note by Dr. Boulanger on the back; and a card commemorating Bishop Grouard's jubilee in 1912 with a personal recollection by Dr. Boulanger and image of Bishop Grouard and Dr. Boulanger.
