Amber Park walkway plan, 1975

The drawing consists of a site plan and a planting schedule. The types of trees proposed for the park are white spruce, mayday, paper birch, and northwest poplar of varying heights and number. The legend shows the tree type visually, and their locations with respect to the walkway are shown on the site plan. The site is framed with the reference points: Alpine Blvd., Amber Cres., Hebert Road, and Aspen Cres.

Central Recreation Area plan, 1963

Two plans showing a design proposal for a central recreation area in St. Albert. The site at the time was bound by Highway #2, Mckenney Avenue, St. John Baptist Street, the Sturgeon River and Piron Street.

  • First is a site plan. There is a legend in the lower right corner of the drawing indicating the location of various facilities. These facilities include: Boating Facilities, Dancing & indoor Evening Entertainment combined with Clubhouse for Boatclub, General Play Area, Lawn Bowling Green, Parking for approximately 100 cars, Lawn Bowling Clubhouse, Tennis Courts, Clubhouse Facilities & Indoor Sports, Auditorium & Allied Recreation, Curling Rink, Auditorium (Cultural), and Library, etc.
  • Second plan shows an artist's rendering of the Central Recreation Area with a view towards West.
