Pelletier blacksmith store

Depicts the exterior of Pelletier blacksmith store in St. Albert. The blacksmith shop was located on the southeast corner of Perron St and Mission Ave along the river bank. It was owned by Francois Pelletier. Francois Pelletier was the maternal grandfather of Eva Bonin, who married Joseph Jacobs. Handwritten on the back of the photo by the donor: "Blacksmith shop owned by Great-grandmas relatives. Eva Jacobs grandparents and others"

Mission Park

Depicts the Mission Park sign and a view up Mission hill. Visible on the hill is the Youville convent, St. Albert parish, and the Bishop's Palace. Handwritten on the back of the photograph: "Mission were Johny was brought up, St. Albert (sic)" This may refer to Johnny Bolduc, a friend of Joseph Jacobs, who was raised in the Grey Nuns orphanage.
