Albert Lacombe Historical Foundation

Series consists of bylaws and objectives created by the Albert Lacombe Historical Foundation as well as minutes, reports, correspondence and research files. Finally, the records include information on the dissolution of the Albert Lacombe Historical Foundation.
The Albert Lacombe Historical Foundation was formed in 1977 to sponsor, establish and administer the museum complex on mission hill including both the Father Lacombe Chapel and the Vital Grandin Centre. The foundation was concerned with fundraising, restoring buildings, seeking regulated ways of preserving the buildings, artifacts and documents, and administering finances regarding the buildings.

Albert Paré

Portrait of Albert Paré, born June 8th, 1896, step-son of Octave Chevigny. Shown in his uniform, recruited in Calgary for WWI and served overseas. He died on September 9, 1966. Image used in The Black Robe's Vision page 117.
