Alfred Arcand was born in Quebec in 1851 and came west with the North West Mounted Police. He settled in St. Albert area in 1880 and died in 1932.
Alfred, an early N.W.M.P. member was dressed in a new R.C.M.P. uniform for the Father Lacombe statue unveiling, September 1929. He was the father of Joseph, and the brother of Josephine and Elise who married the Chevigny brothers.
