Midnight Twilight Tourist Association
- Series
- 1979 - 1983
Series consists of mail-outs to members, various brochures and ephemera as well as publications concerned with tourism in Alberta. St. Albert Historical Society’s involvement with the tourist association is unclear from the records in this series.
The Midnight Twilight Tourist Association was a group concerned with tourism in the north-central region of Alberta, referred to as zone 14 when the government of Alberta had divided the province into 14 tourist zones in the early 1970s. The group formed in 1972 and their activities included producing guides for tourists as well as planning and managing tourism in zone 14 of Alberta. Their office was located on No. 1 Sturgeon Road in St. Albert in a small log building. When the province changed 14 tourist zones into 6 tourist zones (possibly in the 1990s or early 2000s), St. Albert became part of the Greater Edmonton Visitor and Convention Association rather than part of the Midnight Twilight Tourist Association.
