Cast of school play in Edinburgh

This photograph depicts students of Miss Hunter's School, Nile Grove, Morningside, Edinburgh, dressed in costume for the play Flowers of the Forest. Bessie Cuthbertson is portrayed wearing a boy's suit in the second row. Photograph was taken by Ayton Studio at Bruntsfield Links, Edinburgh, on May 26, 1894.

Post Office with Leonard family

This building has been identified as St. Albert's first post office. It was located on Perron Street, south of the St. Albert Hotel. It was built for Joseph and his family. They lived upstairs, and had the postal service, and telegraph office downstairs. Rosanna and Amanda ran the post office, and telegraph office for 12 years.

St. Albert Hotel

Men posing in front of the St. Albert hotel situated on the corner of Perron Street and St. Anne Street. Built by David Chevigny in 1885, burned down in 1898. Rebuilt by Ed. Chevigny and Nazaire Asselin. Image used in The Black Robe's Vision on page 134.
