This photograph depicts the St. Albert Citizen's Committee car in the St. Albert Anti-annexation parade held in March or April 1981. This Committee was formed by Richard Plain (President- Chairman), John Welsh (Vice President), Diane Prector (Secretary), Norbert Van Wyk (Treasurer), Lorraine Shelemy (Coordinator), Louise and Walter Zuk, members. The aim of the Committee was to prevent St. Albert's annexation by Edmonton.

The cartoon depicts Santa Claus with a line-up of children and Edmonton's mayor, Cecil "Cec" Purves, at the end of the line. The caption reads "If that kid on the end asks for Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Strathcona County or New Sarepta, give him a kick in his big, fat Medal of Office."
