"What I found not in a book
But in your & (my) heart.
Kindness lives forever
Kindness is a model book
God bless such ones who own it
Let us its worth not overlook
But cherish & atone it
Kindness is akin with love
A token from the sky
A God sent blessing from above
Where all good treasures lie
Who would not choose a friendly spot
Who would not try maintain it
Though kindness is so oft forgot
Each mortal tries to gain it
Your kindness upon me bestowed
Like summer sunlight gleams
Through loves sweet fire inter glowed
Its memory steals into my dreams
To Madam H. Ouimet
through special affection from
[CONTENT ERASED], Sept. 10 1915"
