Image shows the Bruin Inn, constructed in 1930 by Dan McKay, taken prior to 1944 when the north side addition was built. In about 1944, the inn was sold to Joe Nimchuk, Alex Poloski, George Kozub and Frank Rentier. Rentier was the manager until 1947 when Stanley Hauptman bought him out and became the manager. In 1945, an addition was made to the northwest corner with another addition in 1948. In 1955 to 1956, Nick Kalynchuk took over the management until his death in 1968 at which time Albert Hauptman took over. In 1969, it was redecorated.
